Created in waveform-10 using 1 instance of zynaddsubfx with 3 layers of hi pass filtered oscillators which were tweaked in detail to sound more like noise. Theres a little reverb, delay and distortion in there. The other oscillator was white noise created in 4osc ( native waveform-10 plugin ).

I combined an ambient bar crowd recording that i found here with a funky little back beat that i also found on this site and made a great cubicle noise blocker / filter. I use this at work with headphones on when i'm trying to concentrate and drown out conversations in the office. Also good for when i work from home and i'm trying to drown out the tv and other distractions. The crowd noise is excellent at diffusing regular office conversation and the little funky back beat keeps the crowd noise from getting boring. This works really well even at fairly low volume i. E. I initially created this snare using lmms ( linux multimedia studio ) and a single instance of the zynaddsubfx plugin. There were many effects and experiments done before exporting as an audio stem. Next i opened this stem ( single snare hit ) in bitwig studio and made a few copies of it and timestretched and chopped and then joined together in a group track the parts i liked to make the whole sound. Final effects included saturation, equalization , sidechain-limiting and compression.
